On Tuesday, Cedar Grove didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Stone Mountain, but they still walked away with a 40-34 win. The win was just what Cedar Grove needed coming off of a 84-20 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Savannah Country Day beat Long County 46-35 on Saturday. Given Savannah Country Day's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Long County is ranked 429th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cedar Grove is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Savannah Country Day, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
