The Milford Spartans will take on the Laconia Sachems at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Laconia took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Milford, who comes in off a win.
Milford took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They put the hurt on Hollis-Brookline with a sharp 16-4 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Spartans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Livi Mazzeo (Captain) made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Mazzeo (Captain) was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Haley Harrington, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Mya Coombs (Captain) was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Milford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Laconia lost 7-1 to Kingswood on Monday. The Sachems have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Laconia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Duncan, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Milford's victory bumped their record up to 5-9-1. As for Laconia, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Laconia's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Milford has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .500. It's a different story for Laconia, though, as they've only averaged .301. Will they be able to contain Milford's hitters?
