The Crossroads Christian Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season. They really took it to Lee Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 79-52 victory on the road. Given Crossroads Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Lee Christian is ranked 357th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Ben Gladieux, who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Crossroads Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Will Alston, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Crossroads Christian pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.8 points per game. As for Lee Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
Crossroads Christian will head out on the road to face off against Lawrence Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawrence Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 555 points over their last eight matches. Lee Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Surry HomeSchool at 5:30 p.m. on December 28th.
