Last Tuesday, NorthPoint Christian Academy suffered a tough 66-41 defeat at the hands of the Knights. That's two games in a row now that NorthPoint Christian Academy has lost by exactly 25 points.
Meanwhile, Valor Preparatory Academy pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Piedmont Community Charter at home by a decisive 72-55 margin. While losing is never fun, Valor Preparatory Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 461st, while the Patriots are ranked 188th).
Despite their loss, Valor Preparatory Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Bishop Witherspoon, who scored 17 points, was perhaps the best of all. Witherspoon is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Daniels, who scored 15 points.
