Emily Leonard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Emmerson Frie was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Borden, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.
Blue Mountain hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
The win made it two in a row for Blue Mountain and bumps their season record up to 13-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
