They blew past Holly Hill Academy 55-21 on the road. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Curtis Baptist considering their zero-point performance the match before.
Curtis Baptist found their leader in underclassman Maci Butler, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. Bella Ramp was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Curtis Baptist's victory bumped their record up to 6-3-1. As for Holly Hill Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Curtis Baptist will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Newberry Academy at 2:00 p.m. on December 21st. Newberry Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 226th in South Carolina, while Curtis Baptist is ranked 85th in Georgia). Holly Hill Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Dorchester Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th.
