The Boonville Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Knob Noster Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Boonville will be strutting in after a win while Knob Noster will be coming in after a loss.
Even though Eldon scored an imposing 41 points on Friday, Boonville still came out on top. Boonville strolled past Eldon with points to spare, taking the game 56-41. Boonville didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
Boonville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dakota Troost out in front who rushed for 153 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Bishop, who threw for 164 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Knob Noster's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 27-16 to Holden.
Boonville's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Knob Noster, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 5-4.
