He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  tossed less than eight  strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. At the plate,  Herring  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances, while  McLamb  went 2-for-5 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  double.
 In other batting news,  Carson Tew was  incredible,  scoring four  runs while going 2-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of  Wyatt Scott, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-5.
 Midway has  been performing  well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 13 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record  this season. As for Red Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
