Baseball Recap: St. Joseph Central Snags 13th Victory in Last 14 Games

While St. Joseph Central put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Tolsia. The Irish put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 12-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Irish, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Cam Kellar, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Wyatt Pence was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

St. Joseph Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tolsia only posted a batting average of .067.

St. Joseph Central is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Tolsia, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.
