The Dublin Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Millsap Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Dublin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up four on Friday.
Last Friday, Dublin was the victim of a rough 47-21 loss at the hands of Merkel. Dublin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-7.
Dublin's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ky Gilman, who picked up 55 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Kaden Gaitan who threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns.
Even though Millsap has not done well against Comanche recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Millsap came out on top against Comanche by a score of 35-22. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Millsap.
Reid Green was a one-man wrecking crew for Millsap as he rushed for 156 yards and three touchdowns. CR Tippie was another key contributor, throwing for 152 yards and two touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes.
Dublin's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-5. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Fort Worth Christian, Anson, and Merkel. As for Millsap, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Dublin suffered a grim 38-12 defeat to Millsap in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Dublin, Ryder Douglas oliver (who rushed for 235 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
