Softball Recap: Laton Has No Trouble Against Tranquillity

Laton never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Tranquillity on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Tranquillity Tigers with a sharp 15-5 victory. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Haylee Duran was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. She also got a hit, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Samantha Peralez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Laton's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Tranquillity, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Laton and Tranquillity will both be playing Riverdale the next time they take the field. Laton will head out to face Riverdale at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, while Tranquillity will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
