The Columbus North Bull Dogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell 54-46 to Covenant Christian.
Columbus North lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caleb Ferguson, who scored 15 points along with five assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Garrett Long, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Covenant Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nef Farrell, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Nathan Crane was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
Columbus North bumped their record down to 3-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Covenant Christian, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus North will square off against Mooresville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Mooresville is ranked 216th, while Columbus North is ranked 225th). As for Covenant Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Guerin Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Guerin Catholic is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.1 points per game.
