While Captain Shreve's win against Byrd wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Gators sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Yellow Jackets on Tuesday. The Gators haven't had any issues with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Ella Hendrick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits.

At the plate, Anna Grace Stier was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Mariah Smith was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Captain Shreve's victory bumped their record up to 17-13. As for Byrd, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Coming up, Captain Shreve will square off against Doyline at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Byrd, they will welcome North Caddo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
