Baseball Recap: Indiana School for the Deaf Triumphs

Indiana School for the Deaf took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Anderson Prep Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Deaf Hoosiers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Jets on Monday. For the Deaf Hoosiers, this counts as revenge for the 17-7 victory the Jets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Indiana School for the Deaf saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Rudik, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Rudik is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Indiana School for the Deaf's win bumped their record up to 3-4-1. As for Anderson Prep Academy, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-14.

Coming up, Indiana School for the Deaf will venture away from home to take on Bethesda Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Anderson Prep Academy, they will welcome Indianapolis Shortridge at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Devils will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
