Aislynn Newlin made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 14 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Mia Brady made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances. Payton Radke was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.
