After flying high against the San Carlos Braves last Friday, the Leading Edge Academy - GEC Spartans came back down to earth. Leading Edge Academy - GEC took a 67-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the CHARGERS. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Arete Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Harrison Kremer led the charge by scoring 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Crew Oetjen, who scored 19 points.
Leading Edge Academy - GEC's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Arete Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season.
Leading Edge Academy - GEC does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Arete Prep will head out on the road to square off against the Roadrunners at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. San Tan Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 contests -- so hopefully the CHARGERS like a good challenge.
