The Northgate Vikings suffered their biggest defeat since December 9, 2023 on Saturday. They were beaten by Creekside 64-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Northgate has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Northgate had strong showings from Randria Wilcher, who scored 18 points along with two blocks, and DeAsia Stinson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Wilcher posted two or more blocks. Holly Metz was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Northgate and nudges their season record down to 13-6. As for Creekside, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northgate will face off against Drew at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Drew is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Creekside, they will head out on the road to square off against Mays at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
