Creekside Christian Academy can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Central Christian 70-35 at home. Given Creekside Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Central Christian is ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Creekside Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Laila Placide, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks, and Skye Hunter, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Placide is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last six games she's played. Kyra Ware was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Community Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They lost to Central Christian at home by a decisive 68-53 margin.
Creekside Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Community Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Everything came up roses for Creekside Christian Academy against Community Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 58-21 win.
