Amphitheater's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Moses Messan, who scored 12 points along with 5 steals. The contest was Messan's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carlos Lopez, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds.
Amphitheater now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Catalina, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Amphitheater will be playing in front of their home fans against Sahuaro at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sahuaro presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Amphitheater in Arizona (Sahuaro is ranked 27th, while Amphitheater is ranked 129th). Catalina will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tanque Verde at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th.
