The Belle Chasse Cardinals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took down Phoenix 84-66. The victory was nothing new for Belle Chasse as they're now sitting on three straight.
Kyle Reeves was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Maddux Parfait, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was JAYLON MARTIN, who scored 19 points. It was the first time this season that MARTIN scored 15 or more points. DERVONTE ANCAR was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Belle Chasse has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Phoenix, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-12.
Belle Chasse has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Archbishop Shaw at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Archbishop Shaw has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 419 points over their last six contests. Phoenix is on the road again on Monday and plays Wright at 5:30 p.m. on January 29th. Wright will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Phoenix surely won't give up without a fight.
