Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Purvis). They enjoyed a cozy 64-50 victory over the Perry Central Bulldogs on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tornadoes as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Purvis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noa Bolar, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 23 points and three steals. Bolar continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Zoey Robinson was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 boards.
Purvis' victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Perry Central, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7.
Purvis and Seminary will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Purvis has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Perry Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Vancleave at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
