The Clover Blue Eagles were the 46-36 winner over the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Clover was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 46-45 to Fort Mill. That's two games in a row now that Clover has lost by exactly a single point.
Clover lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brooke Taylor, who scored nine points along with five assists and four steals. Olivia Lewter was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Clover and nudges their season record down to 13-6. As for Fort Mill, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
Clover will head out on the road to challenge Rock Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Hill will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. As for Fort Mill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nation Ford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Nation Ford is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
