Rochester has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Friday. They will face off against the Tolono Unity Rockets at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Rochester focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Rochester was beaten by Collinsville 67-32. Rochester was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-9.
Despite the defeat, Rochester had strong showings from Canon Bruce, who scored 8 points, and Jack Melton, who scored 7 points.
Meanwhile, Tolono Unity took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 69-61 victory over Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Their wins bumped Rochester to 1-1 and Collinsville to 5-0.
Rochester beat Tolono Unity 56-46 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rochester since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
