The Bethel Jaguars were the 66-61 winner over the Skyline Titans when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Bethel fell just short of Skyline by a score of 62-59. Bethel has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bethel lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being H. Howard, who scored 20 points. M. Longmire was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Bethel has fallen quite a ways from their 22-7 record last season and are now at 2-4. As for Skyline, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Bethel's road trip will continue as they head out to face Seattle Prep at 10:35 a.m. on December 27th. Seattle Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bethel in their respective states (Seattle Prep is ranked 69th in Washington, while Bethel is ranked 751st in California). Skyline won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Saint Mary's at 3:45 p.m. on December 22nd.
