They claimed a resounding 89-62 win over Seymour on the road. Winning may never get old, but Waterbury Career Academy sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Seymour lost on Wednesday, one person who can't be blamed is Joey Carrafiello. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points. The matchup was Carrafiello's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Kooper Harmeling was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Waterbury Career Academy's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 88.9 points per game. As for Seymour, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waterbury Career Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Crosby at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Crosby has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 609 points over their last eight contests. As for Seymour, they will head out on the road to face off against Oxford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
