Sultan dropped their record down to 5-3 on Thursday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Cedar Park Christian Eagles, falling 20-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Turks were not able to get on the board.

As for Cedar Park Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2. The contest marked their most dominant win of the season so far.

For Cedar Park Christian's part, Gianna Charlton and Shelby Southard made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Charlton tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Southard struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Charlton has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. At the plate, Charlton went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base, while Southard got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adelaide Foster, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Isabela Stewart was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sultan will welcome Friday Harbor at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wolverines have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.92 runs per game on average), something the Turks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cedar Park Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Mt. Baker at 8:30 a.m.
