Basketball Recap: American Leadership Academy Beats Tohono O'odham for Their Third Straight Victory

American Leadership Academy had won two straight games and CJ Christopher Williams did his part to make it three on Friday. American Leadership Academy secured a 71-65 W over the Tohono O'Odham Eagles thanks in part to Williams, who went 18 of 42 on his way to 59 points in addition to five assists and five boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of American Leadership Academy's points.

American Leadership Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Tohono O'Odham, they moved to 4-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. American Leadership Academy will host Our Lady of the Sun Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tohono O'Odham, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against A+ Charter School at 6:30 p.m.
