On Wednesday, Mount Union was able to grind out a solid victory over Moshannon Valley, taking the game 47-38. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Mount Union has managed all season.
Meanwhile, Northern Bedford County had to suffer through a rough 64-27 loss at the hands of Shanksville Stonycreek. Northern Bedford County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-16.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Wesley Horsh, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Mount Union's win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6. As for Northern Bedford County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Mount Union beat Northern Bedford County 71-58 in their previous meeting back in February of 2020. Will Mount Union repeat their success, or does Northern Bedford County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
