The Leland Cubs lost against the Simmons Blue Devils last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Leland had to suffer through a rough 61-29 loss at the hands of the Blue Devils. Leland has not had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Simmons to victory, but perhaps none more so than Vontasia Rush, who scored ten points along with four steals. Akiah Prince was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Leland's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Simmons, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.
Leland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Simmons also has no future games currently scheduled.
