Cathedral has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Cardinal Spellman Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Cathedral will be strutting in after a victory while the Cardinals will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, Cathedral earned a 64-52 win over the Legends.
Meanwhile, Cardinal Spellman pushed their score all the way to 55 back in January, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to Southeastern RVT.
Cathedral pushed their record up to 4-4 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points per game. As for Cardinal Spellman, they have fallen quite a ways from their 18-5 record last season and are now at 1-5-1.
Cathedral came up short against the Cardinals when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 64-57. Can Cathedral avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
