After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Chandler, the Holdenville Wolverines were happy to have found some success  on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy  70-54 victory over Stroud. Given Holdenville's advantage  in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings  (they are ranked 149th, while Stroud is ranked 434th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Holdenville to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Jace Mccoy, who  scored 13 points.  Izaia King was another key contributor,  scoring 11 points.
 Holdenville has  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record  this season. As for Stroud, they are  on  a  14-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-20.
 Holdenville will look to defend their home court  on Saturday against Henryetta at 7:30  p.m. Stroud does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
