Severance's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Molly Sporleder, who scored 18 points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sporleder has scored all season. Attley Helzer was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with five rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Fort Morgan lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bella Phillips. Despite the final result, she scored five points along with five rebounds.
The win made it two in a row for Severance and bumps their season record up to 8-10. As for Fort Morgan, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
Severance will be playing in front of their home fans against Skyline at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Skyline is coming into the game with five straight wins on the road, so Severance is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Fort Morgan, they will square off against Northridge at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fort Morgan is coming into the game with 17 straight losses on the road, meaning Northridge will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
