The Lincoln County Lions were the 64-56 winner over the Loyola-Sacred Heart Rams when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Lincoln County had to suffer through a rough 99-45 loss at the hands of Loyola-Sacred Heart. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lincoln County has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Lincoln County still got an impressive performance from Caden Vaughn, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 2 assists. Tristan Butts was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Lincoln County's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Loyola-Sacred Heart, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Lincoln County will head out on the road to face off against St. Ignatius at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Ignatius is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Loyola-Sacred Heart, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Arlee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Arlee is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
