Tri-Valley won the last time they faced Heyworth and things went their way on Thursday too. The Vikings walked away with a 2-0 win over the Hornets. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Heyworth still got an impressive performance from Lyla Tate, who had eight kills and three digs. Tate is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had eight or more in each of the last 13 games she's played.

Tri-Valley's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Heyworth, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-7 record this season.

Tri-Valley and Heyworth should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Vikings will challenge Herscher at 6:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (77 vs. 480). Meanwhile, Heyworth (ranked 118th) will meet Central A & M (ranked 545th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
