Brock Bierschwale was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. He has become a key player for Junction: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise.

San Saba's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Junction, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
