Volleyball Recap: Windsor Charter Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Aubri Penfold and Emma George + How To Watch

After flying high against Liberty Common on Monday, Windsor Charter Academy came back down to earth. The Firebirds came up short against the Platte Valley Broncos on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Firebirds haven't had much luck with the Broncos recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Windsor Charter Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Platte Valley work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-15, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Windsor Charter Academy had strong showings from Emma George, who had ten digs and two aces, and Aubri Penfold, who had four digs and one block. Penfold is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Leading Platte Valley to victory were Addy Grossnickle and Talea Huerta. Grossnickle had ten digs and two aces, while Huerta had seven aces. Those seven aces gave Huerta a new career-high.

Windsor Charter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Platte Valley, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
