After a string of three wins, Sherwood's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 66-57 to Plaza Heights Christian Academy.

Leading Plaza Heights Christian Academy to victory were Luke Jones and Remi Schieber. Jones dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 rebounds, while Schieber posted 23 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Jones has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Austin Blum, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points.

Sherwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

After both having extra time off, Sherwood and Clinton will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kingsville at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
