Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mary Persons). They took their matchup on Saturday with ease, bagging a 78-44 win over the Lamar County Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bulldogs have posted against the Trojans since December 10, 2016.

Jamarius Monson was the offensive standout of the game as he went 5 for 8 on his way to 13 points. Tobias Hare was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Mary Persons' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7. As for Lamar County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.

Mary Persons wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-60 victory against Central on the 26th. Lamar County has also already played their next match, a 57-53 win against Elite Scholars Academy on the 27th.
