On Thursday, Langham Creek didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Heights, but they still walked away with a 53-49 win. Given Langham Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Heights is ranked 646th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jordan Clavelle and Rockwell Henderson certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Clavelle scored 11 points, while Henderson scored 10 points along with 6 steals. Another player making a difference was Anthony Sadler, who scored 9 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Langham Creek and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Heights, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Clear Creek the next time they take the court. Heights will head out to face Clear Creek at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Langham Creek will head out to face them at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
