Brady Lupton and Aidan Pendleton did most of the damage at the plate: Lupton went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Pendleton went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Lupton has posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Springboro, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against Beavercreek by a score of 7-4 on Wednesday.
Blake Patterson made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
In other pitching news, Dylan Preston looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.
Patterson wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Micah Brandon, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Another was Drew Davis, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Springboro's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Northmont, their win bumped their record up to 6-9-1.
