The Arleta Mustangs entered their tilt with the Monroe Vikings with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Arleta took down Monroe 26-8 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Arleta also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2022.
Arleta had a senior duo take command as Kennedy Duran rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries and Robert Tapia-ponce gained 49 total yards and two touchdowns.
Arleta's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-8 Trinity Classical Academy and 2-6 Monroe (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 36.3% over those games). As for Monroe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Arleta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Monroe also has no future games currently scheduled.
