The Lab University Prep Lab Rats had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past TPLS Christian Academy, posting a 112-68 win at home. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lab University Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Demarco Reynolds, who scored 30 points. The matchup was Reynolds' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Michael Strickland, who scored 23 points.
Lab University Prep's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for TPLS Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Lab University Prep will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Providence Day at 3:00 p.m. on December 27th. TPLS Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Rosedale Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on December 8th.
