It's playoff time, and Benjamin Franklin had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Holbrook Roadrunners get on the board and left with  a   7-0  victory  on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won ten matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Talan Speir was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. Those  14  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Owen Fierstein was  excellent,  going 1-for-2 with two  runs and one  triple. That  triple was  his first of the season.  Jacob Moran was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run.
The  win was  the seventh in a row for Benjamin Franklin, bringing their record up to 15-9-1. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Holbrook, they dropped their record down to 12-16 with the  loss, which was their third straight  on the road.
As of now, neither Benjamin Franklin nor the Roadrunners have any future games scheduled.
