Greensville County will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Armstrong (Kennedy) extended their winning streak to six on Friday. The Wildcats blew past Henrico, posting a 48-6 victory. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Warriors are ranked 204th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Armstrong (Kennedy)'s win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nyvion Adams, who rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Those 116 rushing yards gave Adams a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Shadarus Pickett, who rushed for 156 yards on only 11 carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Armstrong (Kennedy) was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 321 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 209 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Armstrong (Kennedy)'s defense and their 12 sacks. A'Veri Hornes led the group effort, picking up four of those sacks all by himself. Armstrong (Kennedy) got some further help from Donzell Jones-Teal: he picked up a sack, made 13 total tackles (5.0 for loss), and defended one pass.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Greensville County, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 36-0 victory over Surry County. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Everything came up roses for Armstrong (Kennedy) against Greensville County in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 41-0 win. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
