The biggest upset of the week belonged to Robinson, who took down 89th ranked Connally, 58-55.
Adding to the longest winning streak in 3A Region III District 17 this week, the Rockets beat the Cadets 58-55. The victory was the seventh in a row for Robinson.
Lorena's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Harris Coleman threw for 127 and 2 touchdowns and Braydon Watson had 76 yards receiving. On the ground Coleman chipped in 189 yards. Tyler Wilson helped Lorena's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 23 yards.
Coleman was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 189 yards on 26 carries as the Leopards bested La Vega. Adrian Rodriguez also contributed to the rushing game with 53 yards on the ground.
Lorena's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Leopards feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Coleman has thrown for 764 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Watson has 19 catches for 267 yards. Coleman also leads the league in rushing with 1,046 yards.
The top two teams in 3A Region III District 17 will face off this week when first place Robinson takes on second place Lorena. Last week, Tommy Allison's team beat Connally, while Lorena topped the Pirates.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Ray Biles' team takes on the Rockets. The Leopards' offense has recorded 319 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Robinson has permitted only 108 on the year.
West scaled the state rankings by moving to 792 from 839 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Trojans were able to move up by losing to China Spring 42-24.
