Lone Peak won the last time they faced Brighton and Luhanna Panta did her part to make sure it happened again. The Knights blew past the Bengals 3-0 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Panta, who had 13 digs and two assists. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.
Lone Peak not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Brighton between 18 and 20 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18, 25-20.
Meanwhile, Davis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Syracuse, falling 3-0.
While Davis was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-19, 25-17.
Lone Peak has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. As for Davis, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Wednesday's matchup: Lone Peak has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.8 aces per game. However, it's not like Davis struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything went Lone Peak's way against Davis when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as Lone Peak made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Darts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
