There's no place like home for the Gobles Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They secured a 44-40 W over Lawrence on Wednesday. That's another feather in the cap for Gobles, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Lawrence still got an impressive performance from Ben McCaw, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. McCaw has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Christian Smith, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Gobles' victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Lawrence, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gobles will challenge Coloma at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lawrence, they will head out on the road to square off against Cassopolis at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Cassopolis focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday.
