Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shawnee). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Urbana Hillclimbers an 18-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Braves, who have now won ten matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.
Alee Trimmer made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. In other batting news, Shawnee got a massive performance out of Lilly Adams, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and three doubles. Those four hits gave Adams a new career-high. Shawnee hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive contests.
