The Martinsville Bluestreaks posted their biggest win yet this season on Saturday. They really took it to Urbana University for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-37 win at home. With Martinsville ahead 50-19 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Martinsville was led to victory by Kaiden Simons and Adam Parcel. Simons scored 21 points along with four steals, while Parcel dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Simons has scored all season. Victor Morgan was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Martinsville's win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Urbana University, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Martinsville will take on Ramsey at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Urbana University, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Calvary Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. Calvary Christian Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
