The Family Christian Warriors will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Humble Christian Cougars at 5:00 p.m.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-18, which was the final score in Family Christian's tilt against Brazosport Christian two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Humble Christian waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They came out on top against Annapolis Christian Academy by a score of 35-23.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Humble Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kelly Paulk, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Paulk is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly McMullen, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Family Christian bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Humble Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Family Christian might still be hurting after the 33-13 defeat they got from Humble Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Family Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
